Dan Carpenter July 14, 2017WJ Groundwater are pleased to announce that one of our recent projects in Scotland has been announced as the winner of a prestigious industry prize. WJ were awarded the contract to undertake dewatering works at the site on the outskirts of Glasgow between July 2015 and July 2016, and helped to contribute to the project which was recently awarded ‘UK Project with a Geotechnical Value up to £1.0m by Ground Engineering magazine.

WJ Groundwater is pleased to announce its latest dewatering project in Blackpool – once the home of the tallest roller-coaster and one of the most recognizable buildings in the UK, the Blackpool Tower.
This project is based at Blackpool South and has been devised in order to improve the quality of the local bathing water and for flood protection. The capacity of the local sewer network is to be increased, and this includes updating one of the town’s pumping stations – Lennox Gate. and construction of a new storage tank at Fishers Field.

Qatar Update: New Year, New Office Environment
WJ Groundwater March 25, 2017The beginning of a new era has been ushered in at the Doha headquarters in Qatar. WJ Groundwater Qatar has finally bid farewell to 2016, the Fereej Kulaib office and moved to new premises in Fereej Bin Omran. The move was finalised on the last day of February (2017).

WJ Groundwater March 12, 2017WJ Groundwater is pleased to announce that since the beginning of February 2017, the company has become proud owners of some additional new business premises. The new yard, office, workshop and warehouse has been purchased to take over from operations at our Clipstone Yard. It has been a long standing ambition of the directors of WJ to own our main yard for the long term financial security of the company and to allow us to develop a facility for our specific needs to a high standard.

UK Update: Bromley South Central
WJ Groundwater February 22, 2017WJ Groundwater has been hard at work on a dewatering project for client, the McLaren Group at Bromley, Kent’s new state of the art shopping centre. Known as Bromley South Central and due for completion in late 2017, the project is being overseen and managed by Dr Mark Pickett.

UK Update: Ipswich Flood Defence Scheme
WJ Groundwater January 14, 2017One of the biggest projects of 2016 at WJ Groundwater has been on the Ispwich Tidal Barrier Project. We worked closely on the Water and Environment Management (WEM) project for our client Volker Stevin Ltd (VSL) to enable construction of the tidal gate structure at the River Orwell.
