Basements

WJ has been dewatering basements for more than 30 years. These have ranged in size from modest single level domestic projects through to very large multi-storey basements for residential tower blocks or commercial developments. Basement dewatering works require careful consideration of a range of issues such as; close proximity of adjacent structures, restricted external access, limited discharge options with potentially restricted capacity, and sealing internal artesian wells on completion. Further restrictions may apply where facades are retained or top down construction methods are used. WJ has wide experience of developing strategies to overcome the particular constraints that commonly arise from basement projects.
